Oil & Gas

Remote mines, drilling rigs and oilfield camps run on diesel as prime power, not standby. Cunmi builds heavy-duty, dust-tolerant packages with oversize cooling and dual fuel filtration.

The Challenge

Oil & Gas power requirements

In a mine, the generator is the grid. That means prime-power ratings, continuous duty at high ambient temperature, and a service philosophy built around planned shutdowns rather than unplanned failures.

Our mining packages use marine-derived engine platforms with high torque rise for crusher and mill starting loads, plus a 100 % oversize radiator and two-stage fuel filtration for sites running on heavy or contaminated fuel.

Solution Highlights

What makes the difference in this application

Prime-power rated

Continuous 24/7 duty at 40 – 50 °C ambient with derate documentation.

Dust and heat tolerant

Oversize radiators, cyclonic pre-cleaners and dual fuel filters.

Heavy-load starting

High torque rise for crushers, mills, conveyors and hoists.

Field service

Containerised workshops and multi-unit spare-part kits for remote camps.

How projects are delivered

From load schedule to commissioning in oil & gas

The same three stages run on every order, whatever the configuration: engineering before the quotation, a documented load test before packing, and support after the set is on site.

Engineering and sizing
Step 01

Engineering and sizing

Load schedule, starting currents, ambient and altitude derating are worked through before a rating is proposed — the alternator is sized for the largest step, not the average.

Factory build and load test
Step 02

Factory build and load test

Assembly, wiring and paint in one works, then a four-point load bank run at 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 % with the test sheet serial-numbered to the set.

Shipping, commissioning and support
Step 03

Shipping, commissioning and support

Export packing, documentation and commissioning guidance, with spare-parts supply and remote diagnosis for the life of the installation.
