Why specify a Kubota engine
Kubota industrial diesels are the default choice for small, quiet gensets in residential, telecom and mobile applications. Their low noise, low vibration and low fuel consumption make them ideal for urban and shelter installations.
- Quietest class for under 100 kVA
- Compact enclosure-friendly dimensions
- Long production life, stable parts supply

Both 50 Hz and 60 Hz builds are listed. Model codes carry the standby rating and, where two builds share a rating, a trailing letter.
Kubota declares ratings at 25 °C ambient and 100 m altitude to ISO 3046, and the engines are conservatively rated. Derate is modest in heat but noticeable at altitude: about 3 % per 300 m above 1,000 m on the naturally aspirated models.
The 48 kVA ceiling
Everything about this platform is sized for tight sites: low noise, low vibration, single-point lifting.
Kubota sets leave our plant as compact acoustic canopies with a single lifting eye and removable panels on three sides. That package is what telecom tower operators and equipment rental companies buy, because it can be craned onto a roof and serviced in place. Open skid versions exist for OEM integration into machine enclosures, where the set is one component among several.

| Typical power range | 10 – 4,000 kVA |

Already running a Kubota set?
Kubota injectors, glow plugs, water pumps, thermostat kits and complete overhaul gasket sets are inexpensive and stocked in most regions.
Kubota sets, answered plainly
The three things buyers ask us most about this engine platform.
Small displacement, high compression and liquid cooling working together. A 30 kVA Kubota burns roughly 4.5 l/h at 75 % load, which is hard to match at that size.
The prime-rated builds can, within service intervals. Most telecom applications run them continuously during grid outages, and they handle that duty well.
Typically 65 to 70 dB(A) at 7 m for a standard acoustic canopy, and down to 62 dB(A) with the enhanced package. We quote the figure rather than the class.
