Baudouin marine-derived engines are built for the heaviest duties — mining haul fleets, oilfield rigs and offshore platforms. Their low-speed, long-stroke design gives excellent torque backup and a long overhaul interval.

Both 50 Hz and 60 Hz builds are listed. Model codes carry the standby rating and, where two builds share a rating, a trailing letter.
Baudouin declares ratings to ISO 8528 with a 10 % overload allowance on prime builds. The marine-derived cooling circuit tolerates high ambient well, but fuel temperature matters: above 40 °C inlet fuel we add a cooler to protect the injection pump.
Marine DNA, land packages
These blocks were designed for continuous duty in a hull, so the land package is about access, not stress relief.
Baudouin engines are usually bought for prime power in places where the fuel supply is inconsistent and the maintenance interval is long. We build the 6M21 and 12M26 units into containers with fuel polishing skids, and the smaller 4M06 and 6M11 units into acoustic canopies. Open skid builds are common for Middle East plants where the engine hall is already air-conditioned.

Baudouin sets, answered plainly
The three things buyers ask us most about this engine platform.
Weichai Power, which acquired it in 2013. The engines are still designed and badged as Baudouin, and production serves both marine and land markets.
The prime-rated builds can, within the declared 10 % overload allowance and the stated service intervals. Standby-rated builds cannot.
ISO 8217 distillate grades, and the marine heritage means the fuel system tolerates more contamination than a common-rail automotive engine. Filtration still decides the outcome.
