Commercial Buildings

Offices, hotels, retail centres and residential towers all need standby power that stays out of the way. Cunmi supplies super-silent sets designed for tight plant rooms, roof decks and below-ground car park levels.

The Challenge

Commercial Buildings power requirements

In a city centre there is rarely anywhere convenient to put a generator. The plant room is small, the delivery route is narrow, and the nearest occupied window is a few metres away. Our commercial packages are designed around those constraints rather than around the set.

Every unit is acoustically treated, modular enough to be crane-lifted into a restricted space, and supplied with the controls and changeover gear needed to protect lifts, life-safety circuits and building management systems during an outage.

Solution Highlights

What makes the difference in this application

Super-silent enclosure

Advanced noise attenuation for offices, hotels and residential sites.

Compact modular build

Sized to pass through service lifts, doorways and constrained plant rooms.

Crane and lift ready

Integrated lifting frame and four-point rigging as standard.

Changeover and BMS

ATS, LV switchgear and Modbus / BACnet signalling to the building system.

How projects are delivered

From load schedule to commissioning in commercial buildings

The same three stages run on every order, whatever the configuration: engineering before the quotation, a documented load test before packing, and support after the set is on site.

Engineering and sizing
Step 01

Engineering and sizing

Load schedule, starting currents, ambient and altitude derating are worked through before a rating is proposed — the alternator is sized for the largest step, not the average.

Factory build and load test
Step 02

Factory build and load test

Assembly, wiring and paint in one works, then a four-point load bank run at 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 % with the test sheet serial-numbered to the set.

Shipping, commissioning and support
Step 03

Shipping, commissioning and support

Export packing, documentation and commissioning guidance, with spare-parts supply and remote diagnosis for the life of the installation.
